Historic Post Offices

We’ve been representing the City of Berkeley in its effort to preserve both the structure and use of the historic downtown post office.  We helped Mayor Tom Bates with his testimony to the federal Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, urging the council to protect historic post office use as well as historic post office architecture.  Yesterday the Advisory Council published its report to Congress endorsing Berkeley’s position, which will trustfully influence USPS onto a more constructive course than its attempted sale of our beloved PO.  The Advisory Council report can be found here:
